Replace Preview Image

File cards in the Files menu show a preview to help you identify each file. You can replace an unhelpful preview without changing the file itself or what plays on devices.

This is useful when a video's generated frame is unrepresentative, or when a file such as audio, JSON, or a font has no meaningful visual thumbnail.

Replace a file preview​

  1. In the Files menu, right-click the file and select Replace preview image.
  2. Choose Generate from file to create a preview from a supported file type, or From computer to upload a PNG image.
  3. Select Replace to apply the new preview.
