Add File
Use Add file in Files to upload files to a folder. You can set properties for the queued files before uploading them.
Supported file types
The uploader accepts images (such as PNG, WebP, SVG, and JPEG), videos, audio files (such as MP3 and WAV), fonts, PDFs, and JSON files. HTML files can be displayed with the Custom widget; a user interface profile can restrict who sees or uploads them. Use the file type selector in the file list or picker to show one type at a time.
You cannot upload XLSX, DOCX, or PPTX files manually. You can bring them in through a Google Drive synced folder or a Microsoft OneDrive synced folder, where they are converted to PDF.
Upload files
Select files or drag them into the uploader to create a queue. Use Upload to upload the queue, or the upload control beside a file to upload it individually. You can cancel an upload while it is in progress.
Rename a queued file
Select a filename in the queue to edit it before uploading. The new name is applied to the uploaded file.
Large images
The uploader warns when an image exceeds its preferred dimensions. Review the image's resolution before using it on a device. You can resize an image already in your File Container with the Image cropper.
Set properties for queued files
Settings in the uploader apply to the files in the queue.
Teams and tags
Use Teams to assign teams, and Tags to add tags to the queued files.
Validity
Use Validity to set a time range during which the queued files are valid. A file card indicates whether a file is expired, valid, or not valid yet:

Validity is applied when files are used through a Media folder channel or subchannel, a folder-connected filtered widget, or a playlist with Valid files only enabled. Direct references in standard Video, Gallery, and Media widgets are unaffected.
You can enable folder cleanup to remove expired files. Cleanup runs once daily after a one-day grace period, so removal is not immediate. Widgets using Use folder reflect files removed by cleanup. Validity dates can also be synchronized from SharePoint shared folders.
Mute
For video or audio files, enable Mute to make the uploaded files play silently. You can change this later from the context menu; see Edit Mute.
