Settings
The device's Settings tab brings together its general details, content controls, and device behavior.
General
The General card contains the device's identifying details and location settings.
- Name: Name the device for easier management.
- Service ID: A unique identifier of up to 15 characters, which can be used for external services such as TeamViewer or for remote support. Administrators can edit it; users with lower roles can view it.
- Time zone: The time zone in which the device operates.
- Commissioning date: The date when the device was initially set up and started operation.
- Replacement date: The date scheduled for the device to be replaced or upgraded.
- Comment: Add notes such as on-site location details, hardware quirks, or maintenance history. Devices with a comment are visually flagged on the device card.
Weather location
Separate multiple weather locations with commas. These locations appear alongside cities configured in the Weather widget when its content is assigned to the screen. Locations are specific to each device or device group.
City name examples: Kingston_J (Kingston, Jamaica), Paris_FR (Paris, France), Paris_T (Paris, Texas), Budapest_HU (Budapest, Hungary), and Edinburgh_GB (Edinburgh, Scotland).
Postal code examples: 8200_HU (Veszprém, Hungary) and 28250_USA (Charlotte, North Carolina).
Predefined viewer count
Set a default audience size for this device so that Audience Measurement can estimate impressions even when no live people-counting source is connected.
You can use a fixed count for places with known attendance or capacity, such as a concert, or a foot-traffic estimate derived from pre-measured visitors per minute and average view time, such as in a lobby. Optional date and time rules let the count vary by time of day or day of week on top of the default value.
Teams
The Teams card shows which teams can manage and access the selected device. See Teams for more information.
License
The License card shows the device's license details. Users with the appropriate permissions can manage them.
A device with UNLICENSED status does not display content until a valid license is set. A valid license cannot be changed to a smaller time-range payment method or a demo license, even with the appropriate permissions.
Content management
The Content card contains the device's assigned content and content controls.
Here you can assign or unassign content and emergency content, then use these controls:
- Refresh: Refresh the content displayed on the device.
- Pre-cache: Pre-load content to ensure smooth playback.
- Load page: Load a specific page on the device.
- Clear cache: Remove cached content to free up storage space. On supported platforms and application versions, Keep media files clears only the player's application files and leaves downloaded videos, images, audio files, and PDFs on the device. This lets you repair an outdated or broken player without downloading all its media again.
Device management
The Device card groups general, content, and debugging controls.
General shows the device's folder and lets you adjust its display, orientation, volume, and brightness. You can also restart or remove the device, update its application, and turn its lock on or off.
Content lets you bind a datasource and data row or turn emergency mode on or off.
Debug lets you download device logs.
Tags
The Tags card shows the tags active on the selected device. See Tags for more information.
Custom certificates
The Custom certificates card lets you add and remove custom certificates for the device.
Removing a certificate here stops the device from receiving it, but the device still stores and uses its existing copy. To remove that copy, open the device's secret menu, then select Manage certificates → Clear certificates.
Previews
The Previews card lets you view and manage the device's preview images.
- Download latest preview: The device uploads a high-resolution preview image, which is then downloaded to your computer.
- Latest preview image: View the latest 10 preview images.
- Rapid preview: The device uploads previews rapidly for a limited time.
- Channel playlist snapshot: See Channel playlist snapshot for details.
- Remove previews: Remove preview images.
Working hours
Set the device's operational hours to save energy and maintain performance. See Working hours for setup and platform-specific behavior.
Reboot time
Set an automatic reboot schedule for the device to help maintain its health and performance.

Advanced controls
Advanced controls include installing an application, sending user commands, updating firmware, and update management. The Send command dialog offers generic user commands for Android, Windows, and legacy JSCore devices. Update firmware offers firmware versions for LG, BrightSign, and Samsung devices.
Recovery menu
Configure the device's recovery menu, also known as the secret menu. This feature is available only to users with Administrator or Technical Manager roles.
- Show recovery menu: Show or hide the recovery menu on the device.
- Recovery PIN code: Set a PIN that users must enter before accessing the recovery menu. This helps prevent unauthorized access to device settings and debugging options.
Debugging settings
The Console card contains device information and debugging controls.
- Device name: Show the device name on its screen.
- Console: Show device logs on its screen.
- State indicator: Enabled by default; shows conditions such as no assigned content or an expired license.
- Device info: Show essential device information.
Configurations
Advanced config
Advanced config lets you set supported custom commands and other configuration options. The available options depend on the player:
Sensor config
Use Sensor config to set the device's sensor configuration.
Additional information
In Location of device, you can define the device's coordinates and upload up to five images of the related location to help identify it.
