Sub-channels
A Sub-channel in Wallboard is a small channel that can be groupped and used as a source for channels.
- This allows you to organize, manage, and schedule different types of content (such as slides, media files, playlists) for playback on your devices.
- Sub-channel make it easy to control the sequence and timing of content, ensuring your screens always display the right information at the right time.
Create Sub-channels
- Navigate to Channels menu
- Switch to Sub-channels tab
- Click on the button next to the Sub-channels header.
- This will open the Sub-channels editor
Sub-channel editor has 3-main parts that will define the behavior of the created channels:
What to play

you can define which type of source you want to use as Sub-channel items.
Contents, Slides and Playlists
If you select this source type, you can select multiple Contents, Slides or Playlists in one of the following ways:
Images, Videos, PDFs
If you select this source type, you can select media files to display in your Sub-channel in one of the following ways:

modal you can define intervals for your Sub-channel.

Where to play
In Where to play
modal you can define which devices are allowed to play the given Sub-channel.
You have several options to define the allowed device list:
If a device is approved for the sub-channel but not for the parent channel, the sub-channel will not appear on that device.
Select Sub-channel group
Sub-channels can only be displayed through channels.

To publish the Sub-channel you have to select a Sub-channel group that can connected to a channel to display the assigned Sub-channels.
Publish & Display Sub-channels
When you finish the Sub-channel creation, click on the icon to open Publish settings.
- Here you can disable the Sub-channel if you do not want it to be active after save.
Additional settings
Tags:
- You can select or add tags to separate Sub-channels from each other.
Advertiser:

you can gain advertiser reports from the Sub-channels.
Display Sub-channel
- To display sub-channels, you have to create a content or slide that contains at least 1 channel widget, and select the sub-channel group as a source in the channel you wish to display.
Sub-channels Overview
In Sub-channels menu, you can see and manage your already existing Sub-channel.
- You can select view in the top-right corner with the icon.
Card view & Scheduling view
- In card view you can see the currently set schedule on the Sub-channel's cards.
- In card view you can see which Sub-channel group is selected to display the Sub-channel.
- In card view you can see how many devices are eligible to display the Sub-channel.
- In the top-right corner of the screen above the Sub-channel cards, you can use the date selector to switch between scheduled weeks.

- Enable, Disable Sub-channel
- Edit Sub-channel
- Duplicate Sub-channel
- Manage tags
- Manage teams
- Visit Analytics >> Proof of play
- Remove channel
