Other credentials

Comprehensive guide for configuring and using custom authentication credentials in Wallboard for specialized integrations.

Other/Custom Credentials are specialized authentication solutions designed for integrations that cannot be handled by standard OAuth providers (Google, Microsoft) or simple API key authentication. These credentials enable Wallboard to connect with specialized business systems, legacy applications, and services requiring complex authentication flows.

When to Use Other/Custom Credentials

Use Other/Custom Credentials when:

  • Your required integration is not available through standard Google or Microsoft credentials
  • The external service requires complex multi-step authentication
  • You need to integrate with on-premise systems or legacy applications
  • Standard JSON/XML data sources with custom headers are insufficient for your authentication needs
  • You require coordinated authentication across multiple APIs simultaneously
