Device shows expired license on screen

If a screen shows a "license expired" page instead of your content, it's usually one of these:

The device isn't licensed

A device moved between customers or servers enters the Unlicensed state and needs a license tier assigned before it can play content. Ask your administrator to assign one.

tip

Devices in the Unlicensed state don't consume a license — handy for preparing a large number of devices in advance without using up licenses until they are actually deployed.

Your account has expired

If your Wallboard account has passed its expiration date, all of its screens show the expired page until the account is renewed. Contact your provider to extend it.

The server's license has expired

If the whole server's license has lapsed, every screen on the server shows the expired page until it's renewed — this affects all customers on that server, and your provider needs to renew the server license.

If you still experience this issue after checking the license settings on the device, contact your system administrator or email us at [email protected]
