Calendar datasource

To create a calendar datasource you need to create and authenticate your Google or Microsoft credential in the Wallboard system.

Google Calendar credentials:

1. Navigate to Settings > Cloud Integration > Google credentials

2. Click on the Add new and select the Calendar scope

Read only option is enabled by default.

Google calendar can be modified from content, if the Read only option is switched off.

  • If you create a credential when the Read only is enabled, you will not be able to modify it from content.
  • To change the Read only state, you have to create another credential, where the Read only button is in the desired state.

Microsoft Calendar credentials:

1. Navigate to Settings > Cloud Integration > Microsoft credentials

2. Click on the Add new and select the Calendar scope where you can choose between SharePoint or Personal types.

Please note

After you created a calendar credential, you will not be able to modify the type, only the name of the credential.
If you wish to change the type of the credential you have to create a new with the type you need.

After you created your credential(s), you can create your calendar datasource.

Create datasource

Go to the Datasources > Click on the Add new inside the External datasource tab > Choose the Calendar type.

  1. Select the credential type for the calendar this could be Office365 (Microsoft) or Google.

  2. For Credential, select the credential you created before then select your calendar.
