User roles in editor version 1.12
This article introduces you to the different roles available for users in the 1.12 editor version.
Roles hierarchy
User roles in Wallboard build on top of each other, meaning any role in the hierarchy is granted every permission that the roles under possess. When deciding what role to give a user, start with the viewer profile below and work your way up until you find a role that has all the permissions needed. In most cases we find that owners are general admins, while the rest of the users are either technicians or approvers. The differentiator being whether they will need the ability to fully manage screens or just assign/edit content.
Roles can be ranked from 1-6 where 1 is the highest role with the most permissions:
- System Administrator
- Owner
- Technician
- Approver
- Editor
- Viewer
