File Validity
The Validity
field allows you to define a time range during which the files in the queue are considered valid.
Where it Works:
- It functions correctly when files are linked to a
Media folder
typeChannel
orMessage
. - It also works if a widget has a filter folder connected, as it will apply the validity rules to the filtered contents of that folder essentially 'deleting' invalid files.
Where it Doesn’t Work:
- Validity settings cannot be applied to files directly connected to standard widgets like
Gallery
Media
, etc.
File Clean-Up:
- You can enable folder clean-up, which will automatically delete files with expired validity dates. This ensures the files are removed, and the corresponding widgets will detect and reflect these changes accordingly.
File Synchronization:
- File validity can also be synchronized only through Sharepoint shared folders.
