Important Changes in 2.0

• N8N Module:
  • This module will be deprecated and removed from servers where it is not in use. Integrations based on the N8N API or database will break in 2.0.
  • Users are advised to migrate these integrations to custom solutions.
• PM2 Modules:
  • These modules will also be deprecated and removed in future major releases.
  • Users should plan to migrate their PM2 modules to custom applications.
• Introduced a new UNLICENSED state in the 2.0 UI:
  • When moving screens between customers or servers, no license selection is required, and screens automatically enter the UNLICENSED state.
  • Devices in this state don’t consume a license, allowing an unlimited number of devices to be pre-configured for large projects without using up licenses until deployment.
• Sub-channels and Sub-channel groups are no longer use the value ´saturation.´

Editing restrictions between 2.0 UI and Legacy UI

Playlists created, AND saved through the 2.0 User Interface are restricted from further editing in the legacy UI.
Channels and sub channels created or edited AND saved through the 2.0 User Interface are restricted from further editing in the legacy UI.

New feature:

• Added Network related permissions for User Interface Profile settings. These settings can be managed by users with Administrator role or greater.

Improvements:

• Improved Location management in Devices menu:

  • Location can be set on multiple selected devices.
  • Added a marker to indicate the searched location inside the location editor.

• Playlist editor:

  • Added 500ms threshold value in playlist pages where the length of sources with native value have been manipulated by manual overwrite to adjust to the page duration.
  • Added indicators to inform user about editing restrictions in on playlists and in playlist editor.

• Alerts menu has been renamed to Notifications.

• Import from archive modal has been redesigned for better understandability.

• Serial numbers of pre-registered devices can be copied and revised in Devices menu.

Bug fixes

• Fixed an issue where the location modal cannot be saved id the longitude or latitude values were negative.
• Fixed an issue where the scrollable modals in time zone selector were empty in some cases.
• Fixed an issue where the trim and loop icons were show in playlist page editor when the native duration has been restored.
• Fixed an issue where the folder selection modal in channel editor was not scrollable.

  • Sync file removal (boolean, default: true)

Compatibility Updates:

• Loops created on legacy UI CANNOT be saved in 2.0.
• Playlists created in 2.0 CANNOT be edited in legacy UI

Improvements:

• PDF files are now selectable as pages in Playlist editor.

• Channel and Playlist editors:

  • A Confirmation modal will appear when switching from complex scheduling back to basic scheduling in when to play modals.
  • An Exit Confirmation modal has been added to the Channel and Playlist editors to warn users of unsaved progress.
  • Visual indicator has been improved in when to play modals.
  • When a folder is selected in tree view, the left side will automatically scroll to highlight the selected folder, ensuring seamless navigation.
  • From now on Where, When and What to play modals must be correctly filled out to successfully save playlists, channels, and sub-channels.

• Fixed an issue where the Devices menu redirected to the Screens menu of the legacy UI instead of staying on Devices.

• Channel editor:

  • Fixed an issue where the item duration limit was not restricted to 3s in several places.

• The default resource type is now set to "Restaurant Menu and Stock Flatten" when creating a new external data source in Toast.
• All Team Management modals got a consistent appearance.

Bug fixes:

• Fixed an issue where the update icon was active on offline devices.
• Fixed an issue where long text within the tooltip of URL fields in external data sources would extend beyond the tooltip box.
• Fixed an issue where URLs from "File from URL" type data sources were not displayed in the URL column.
• Fixed an issue where Channel names were not visible in the Channel Management section of the Team menu within Settings.
