Jumper Wires
Jumper wires are special wires that help you connect different electronic parts together when you're building something like a circuit or a project. They have connectors on each end, which can be either pins or sockets.
There are three types of jumper wires that you might use:
-
Male-to-Male Jumper Wires:
These wires have little pins on both ends, just like the ones you see on Lego bricks. You can connect one end of the wire to one electronic part, and the other end to another part or a place where you want to make a connection.
-
Male-to-Female Jumper Wires:
These wires have a pin on one end and a little socket or hole on the other end. The pin end goes into one electronic part, and the socket end can connect to another part or a place where you want to make a connection.
-
Female-to-Female Jumper Wires:
These wires have little sockets on both end, these can be connected to the pin you want to use.
Color Coding:
Jumper wires often come in different colors, allowing you to organize and differentiate connections easily. For example, you might assign specific colors for power, ground, or different signal lines to maintain clarity in your circuit.
